The Process:

(1) Email us at GoldenMountainRetrievers@gmail.com where we will ask you to fill out an inquiry form (questions noted below for you to noodle on). After we receive your form we will give you a call to chat through what you are looking for and place you on our notification list.

(2) If you are on our list we will tell you when we are expecting a litter 

(3) We will then advise you when we know puppies are on the way (after we have done an ultrasound). At that time, we will see if you are still interested and ask for a $500 deposit. That deposit is non-refundable if you change your mind at a later date. If for some reason we don’t have a puppy for you, then we do refund the deposit. At this point, if we have more people interested in puppies than we have puppies available, the order of deposits determines who stays on the list. 

(4) We will notify you when the puppies are born and start scheduling visit days 6-7 weeks out where you will be able to meet the liter and pick your new furry family member

Puppy Partners for Life:

Our puppies leave for their forever homes with multiple dewormings, microchip, health guarantee, a start on potty training, specialized socialization training, and a puppy starter kit. Our dogs are placed on a Limited Registration basis, which means that while you can register your dog with the AKC, their offspring would not be AKC eligible. We do this as responsible hobby breeders to ensure our dogs are not being bred without clearances and there is no value in reselling our dogs to puppy mills and commercial breeders. If you are looking for Full Registration please reach out to us to discuss further. 

Please note, we are your puppy partners for life and have a vested interest in making sure our dogs are loved and supported their whole lives. We are here to support you throughout the life of your furry family member, which includes being available to answer questions, provide advice, and supply training tips. Additionally, we have a no-questions-asked give back policy if at any point you find yourself in a situation unable to care for your Golden Mountain Retriever (this does not include a refund).

We offer hand delivery of our puppies in the domestic USA for a select number each litter. Please reach out for more information!

Puppy Inquiry Form

After emailing us, we will respond with an inquiry form where we will ask you to let us know a bit about yourself that helps us understand your thought process regarding your new furry family member. We know it may seem like a lot of questions, but we deeply care about each of our puppies and seek to find lasting homes. The questions we ask are:

  1. Perspective Pet Parent Name
  2. Do you currently have a dog? If yes, what breed?
  3. If you currently do not own any dogs, what is your past exposure/experience with dogs?
  4. Does everyone in the family agree on adding a dog to the family? If not, please help us understand your situation.
  5. Does your lifestyle allow the time and energy to care for and exercise your Golden?
  6. Where would your new furry family member be during the day?
  7. Do you prefer a male or female puppy? Why?
  8. What else would you like us to know about you?
