Quiet, Sweet, & Loving – while Goldens are a large-size breed they are usually calm, quiet, and easily trainable. They have enormous love for water and games, but even more love for you! Eager and enthusiastic, Goldens will celebrate with you when you are happy, and offer comfort when you are down- definitely a reliable, 24/7 furry friend.

Eager to Please – while some pets can be hyper-independent or very clinging, Goldens are so intelligent that they are always looking for ways to please their owners, which makes them willing and enthusiastic when following your commands (with proper training of course!)

Great with Children – most children love dogs, but not all dogs love children. Goldens have a natural gentleness and long-suffering personality that make them perfect for kids (even if they are the tail-pulling, climb-on-top variety of children!)

Hardworking & Highly Adaptable – Goldens are truly “man’s best friend,” and are typically more hardworking than average dog breeds which allows them to excel in more advanced tasks like hunting, tracking, search & rescue, guide dogs, and so on. Goldens are also tolerant and wouldn’t mind accompanying you to the desert or snow, on road trips or to your work.
